According to the Next Generation Broadcasting (NGB) planning and PON standards, 1550nm is defined as the transmission wavelength for HFC downstream. 1550nm External Modulated Optical Transmitter is designed for HFC networks applications. It can optionally be equipped with an integrated EDFA for CATV applications.
